圖章, スタンプ, stamp

On the side of the cabinet it reads, best and highest grade stamps in the world. It grabbed my attention from afar, wondering what is in the cabinet. I walked closer to find it lined with wooden rubber stamps inside. Each one had been etched with a kanji letter. In the old days iliteracy was common and people had difficulty signing official documents from the bank usually, so rubber stamps were made for identification purposes. Most people had unique stamps made so  confusion would be minimal. The sheer craftmanship that I saw in the cabinet was astonishing and the cabinet very well showcases that.
